2010 - 2011 IKWF Recap

Although we came up short this year, our State Qualifiers wrestled a good tournament. Senior 166lb Wrestler Wayne Sobotka pinned his first round opponent in the first period. In his next match, he had command of the match, but got caught in a scramble and was pinned. His opponent lost his next match, which knocked Wayne out of the tournament. Senior 156lb wrestler Anthony Jarvis also won his first bout, but then fell to the eventual finalist. He did get an opportunity to wrestle-back late Friday night, but came up short and was out of the tournament. Novice Frankie Trevino lost his first bout, and his opponent lost his next match which ended Frankie's chances. In all, it was a valiant effort. We congratulate our State Qualifiers, and wish Wayne and Anthony good luck in High School. Below you'll find a few photos from the Grand March.
