SWC Tourney Wrap-up
527 wrestlers participated in the Shamrock Wrestling Club Tournament on 1/3/10. In all, it was a very successful tournament finishing all bouts by 3PM. We cannot thank enough those parents/family members/friends for all their hard work to make this tournament a success! If you were involved in a specific task, i.e. Head Table, Concessions, Admissions, Bull-Pen, Weigh-ins, Security, etc... we would be very interested in hearing from you on how we can make things better in the future. Specifically, how many people are needed for each of these jobs throughout the day. For example, does running the concessions take 2 volunteers who are there all day, should we break it into 2 time slots (7AM - 11AM and 11AM - 3PM), information such as this will help us develop a better plan to be more organized for future tournaments.

Weigh ins went well ,two people per scale are good. The Bullpen was a little crazy!...Please don't put the group letters on the floor, the kids tore those up real quick ! The walls work much better. If there was a spotter on the floor who could relay when and how many brackets could be sent would help things run alittle smoother. Besides that I think everything went real well.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I heard about the bullpen. Not sure why the letters ended up on the floor. i think we may have just run out of time to tape them up before the little guys were called to the bullpen. Spotters are always a good idea, I'll make sure they get on the list.
